NEW DELHI: TikTok & Helo may be banned in India

NEW DELHI: The Central govt has taken a strong step towards the social media companies by issuing a set of questionnaire. Based on the rebuttal the govt may decide to impose ban or permit it especially considering the national security. The BJP govt has set the deadline by 22nd July 2019. Many of the social media apps such as TikTok, Helo owned by Chinese company pose threat to India’s national security and is affecting the start-ups from India.
Also many reports of death associated with TikTok & Helo apps is also the major concern of the government.
