NEW DELHI: In another controversial on Womens’ right to visit the religious places, the muslim couple on 15th April filed a petition in Supreme Court asking the permission to grant muslim women to visit masjid and offer their prayers.
The petitioner Yasmeej and Ahmad Perzade, the resident of Maharashtra stated that they were inspired by the Sabarimala verdict of the Supreme Court and is expecting similar justice for Muslim women who are barred from entering the masjid to offer prayers.
However, in Islam the Muslim women reserves the rights to visit the masjid to offer the congregational prayers but most of the masjid in India doesn’t have infrastructure support to accommodate them.
