EDUCATION: School Examinations will be scrapped from 2021-MHRD

NEW DELHI: The ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) is planning to scrap School examinations from the year 2021 based on the recommendations from National Education Policy (NEP) committee. The NEP committee recommends that the students evaluation should take place under ‘Class based Assessment’. As per the report, this new evaluation as on par with International standards and hopes to bring paradigm change in Indian Education system. The NEP committee s also considering to raise the age bar of students under RTE from 14 to 18, an inclusive step towards accessible education.
